Under the name Music at the Engine Shed, eight of Vaasa’s music organizers join forces to showcase the breadth and quality of the region’s music scene. The audience can experience everything from choral singing and chamber music to jazz and folk in a relaxed setting where visitors are free to come and go throughout the day. The new Chair of the Vaasa City Council, Frans Villanen, will also give a speech on culture in Vaasa.
The event is aimed at everyone—both seasoned concertgoers and curious first-time listeners. The goal is to lower the threshold for experiencing music while highlighting the rich cultural life of Vaasa and Ostrobothnia. Café QuinnTon will be open during the day, and balloons will be available for children. The event runs from 13:00 to 18:00.
