Idyll

The concert takes the listener through American soundscapes and Romantic highlights – from Edward MacDowell’s New England Idylls and Nicky Sohn’s poetic Cynthia and Deer Friend, to Leonard Bernstein’s lyrical and jazz-inflected Clarinet Sonata. The evening culminates in Antonín Dvořák’s celebrated Piano Quintet, one of the most beloved chamber works of the Romantic era.

Free admission for children under 15, subject to availability.
